Common Puppy Behaviors
(What’s Normal — and What Matters)
Raising a puppy can feel overwhelming, especially when behaviors change from week to week. Most of what new puppy parents worry about is completely normal — it just isn’t talked about clearly enough.
Here are straightforward answers to the questions puppy owners ask most.

Is puppy biting normal?
Yes — puppy biting is completely normal and expected during development.
Puppies explore the world with their mouths. Biting increases during:
Teething
Growth spurts
Overtiredness
Overstimulation during play
Most puppies bite more when they’re tired or mentally overloaded, not because they’re aggressive. This behavior usually peaks between 3–6 months and gradually improves with consistent sleep, calm handling, and appropriate outlets for chewing.
